Word squares!

Word square: symmetric matrix of letters where each row and column spells a word. Since it’s symmetric, the row words are the same as the column words.

My husband John introduced me to word squares, and he’s always amazed at how quickly I can make them. (The secret is to be good at crossword puzzles.) Once in a while, I am extra good at making them. This week has been one of those times.

While waiting for lunch on Wednesday:

W I T
I C E
T E N

H E A L
E D G E
A G E S
L E S S

W A S H
A L T O
S T U N
