That was my reaction at the end of the Apprentice finale, when Randal advised Trump not to hire Rebecca, too. A lot like how I felt at the end of Matrix Revolutions, when the war “ended” but the machines got to keep the Matrix going. Althouse and her commenters have lots of good commentary. Rebecca did leave Yahoo in a position where they had to make a large public donation to the charities, since the charity event that they sponsored, and she ran, didn’t actually raise any money. She also preferred the more boring construction project.

For the Martha Stewart Apprentice, Jim washed out in the interviews. The final task for Bethenny and Dawna is event planning (yawn!), but neither has the full loyalty and support of their team the way that both Randal and Rebecca had.
