Saturday we rotated our mattress. A mattress on its edge is something that our cat just cannot resist–she didn’t waste any time climbing up it, and she had to be dragged off.

Yesterday, we took a sauna, and guess who was in it the longest? Our cat loves the sauna. Apparently the dry heat awakens some ancestral memory of ancient Egypt, where the days were warm and sunny, mice were plentiful, and cats were worshipped properly. (She’s figured out that if she gets too hot in the sauna, she can go down a level or two. The floor in there is always cool.)
