….from last weekend: a black metal cart with wheels, outside a local business with a “Free” sign on it. It turned out to be exactly what MFH needed for a server cart for work. He just had to take a plywood top off it and clean it up a little.

We stopped at a yard sale Saturday while taking the scenic route home from our midwife appointment–one of those yard sales with lots of furniture, the kind I’m most likely to stop at. I found a sturdy oak two-drawer chest with lots of “character” for $10, and MFH found a magnetic tape recorder.

We spent most of the Fourth of July outside the Metropolitan Mosquito Control District, and have the bug bites to show for it. Nice to see how many people around here appreciate our independence enough to make the sacrifice of driving to Wisconsin to get real fireworks for a proper celebration.
