So far today, I have:

Picked up my car from the shop–it’s a lot quieter with the first pipe in the exhaust system replaced.

Discovered that my car registration card has disappeared. Also discovered that the second license plate tag the state sent me was for the front license plate, and not a spare, so I’ve been driving with one expired tag for months. (Being from Michigan originally, where no front plate was required, I forget that my car now has a front license plate.) Luckily, I discovered both of these things without the help of the police, and was able to take care of them.

Caught up on bookkeeping, so I know where our finances are at.

Called a guy on the other side of the country to talk about a research proposal we’re beginning to write–an almost last-minute proposal that’s going to make the next couple of weeks very busy for me. Usually I can get by without calling people for work (I hate phones and I’m slow at verbalizing); this call went ok.

Snaked out a clog in the toilet–nice time for that to happen.
