Working

I’ve started back at my job, but only half time and still working at home. So I have the flexibility to work only when OLC is nursing or sleeping. It’s kind of nice to have a little baby sleeping peacefully on my lap while I’m at the computer (never mind that she did a little fussing before she reached that state). Poor MFH gets home from work right around the time when both mom and baby get really tired and cranky.

I was hoping to make it to my church’s mom’s club this morning, but we weren’t ready quite in time to catch the bus, and really it’s too cold anyway (single digits or less, with wind chill), considering that we would have half a mile of walking at each end of the trip, plus a ten-minute wait in changing buses in the middle. OLC has been doing well on our walks, snuggled underneath my oversize insulated flannel shirt in her sling (giving me a very deformed-looking silhouette), but today I would have had to put at least another blanket or two around her, and my winter coat over everything.

OLC is growing fast, and feels heavier by the day. I’ve started doing Pilates again, when MFH has the baby, and am really enjoying it.
