I’m having a hard time feeling any Christmas spirit this year. For one thing, we haven’t had a good, covering snowfall yet this year, so it feels like we’re still in early November (my sense of winter is still calibrated to the Upper Peninsula’s climate). I haven’t been watching TV, or out and about shopping, so I haven’t seen much of the seasonal advertising hype. At church, I’ve been spending a good chunk of my time in the nursery, feeding OLC, if we make it there at all. Plus, with MFH’s end-of-year crazy work schedule, we won’t be going to visit family until next month, so I can put most of my Christmas shopping off until later.
