Yesterday morning: freezing rain. So much for walking down to the Midway to start my Christmas shopping, I thought. Then it turned to snow, and so OLC and I went shopping. She did fine in the baby sling, except that she would start to wake up when I stopped to look at something in the store, so I had to shop more briskly than I would have liked to.

On the way back, who did we run into but MFH!–home from work early, he’d seen my tracks in the snow, leaving the house and not coming back, so he tried to track us down. He got mixed up at an intersection and followed the wrong set of tracks for a while, but he spotted us on his way home. I didn’t see him, because I was looking at the ground like I always do when I walk.
