Easter

Filed under: Christianity, Foofy, General, Parenthood — April 10, 2007 @ 9:32 am

We had a good Easter, although a rather short and busy one. MFH had a long, long work week, plus he worked another long day on Saturday. I worked too, since I didn’t get all my hours in during the week. I did manage to go out shopping and get an organic chicken. Also, I made a pie crust. On Sunday, I finished the lemon meringue pie (the meringue came out very prettily browned) and MFH’s mom came down to cook the chicken for us. We went off to church, and got there a little late. But they didn’t play the one hymn I associate with Easter (”Christ Arose”; with gusto) anyway. The sermon was good.

We had a nice dinner, and were going to leave OLC with Grandma and go for a walk. But OLC was a little fussy, so we all went for the walk. Afterward, we did get a little break. With MFH at work all the time, I haven’t been getting enough introvert rumination time, so my brain was all clogged up and I couldn’t think. I got it cleared out a little, and am reassured that there’s no permanent damage to my IQ. MFH worked on cleaning his office space some.

This week is another long and busy one. Ugh.
