Harry Potter
Of course MFH reserved a copy ahead of time at a small local bookstore. We did think at the last minute of going to the big party at Barnes and Noble, but didn’t have time to put together a good Hagrid costume for MFH (though he just about has the hair and beard for it now). Anyway, MFH got the book and speed-read it in a haze of sleep deprivation, finishing it in five or six hours. I had to catch up on work Saturday morning, but started the book in the afternoon, and took about 12 hours to read it, including breaks. OLC slowed my reading down quite a bit, but that gave me more time to savor the experience.
We both liked it a lot. We’re going to have to fight over who gets to re-read it first.
