Zatera Ul

Well, OLC celebrated turning one year old this week. She and I went to the zoo, and she laughed at the monkeys and the fish. We gave her her first cake and ice cream–she licked the frosting off and tossed the cake away. She had a hard time with the ice cream at first, since she’s not used to very cold things. All this was followed by a bath, of course.

The next day, Grandma came down and we made a trip to Peapods, ending up with a toy, a hat, and little Robeez shoes. OLC especially liked the lovely tissue paper that they put in the top of the bag.

I’m glad we didn’t do a party or anything. We’ve been dealing with colds and fatigue all week; it’s been one of those weeks where it takes all week just to get the laundry done and put away.

OLC is almost walking. She can stand unsupported for several seconds easily, and can push her little chair across the room.

She also will hand her stacking cups to me one by one as she takes them apart.
