Cute things OLC has been saying lately
“I need a post! I need a pencil!” — every time I go to my writing desk, she wants a Post-It note to write on.
“No grandma. Talking to B! So, B…[babbling on with a long, involved story]” — OLC was talking on her play phone, and I asked her if she was calling Grandma. No, she was talking to MFH’s friend, telling him a funny story just like her dad does.
“I come back in two minutes!” — as she runs off; something she picked up from MFH.
“Right there!”
“Mom baby in tummy.” — she seems to be starting to catch on that there’s another baby on the way.
“Read shy kitten.” — when she wanted me to read The Shy Little Kitten to her.
“Read meatball.” — when she wanted me to read Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs to her.
“Sheep scared of robot dog.” — referring to the third Wallace and Gromit adventure, A Close Shave. (Wallace and Gromit and Miyazaki’s My Neighbor Totoro are the only videos we let her watch. Good animation and tolerable for adults to watch over and over and over.) Similarly, “Gromit scared of pants,” and “Mei sleep on Totoro’s tummy.”

Also, strange foods that she likes: lentils, broccoli, kidney beans (even dry), sardines, chicken livers, Worcestershire sauce.
