I have my book project pretty well outlined, but I was having a very hard time when I started turning the outline into prose. Then I figured it out: I don’t just need the points from the outline, I need the transitions from point to point to point. Now things are moving along.

I created my outline as a mindmap in FreeMind, which works ok. I needed something where I could move and reorder items easily.
