I figured out why all the kitchen paints and dish drainers are such drab colors now: because bright, cheerful colors don’t go well with the granite countertops that everyone was installing. I was never a big fan of granite countertops anyway, but I am alarmed to have discovered that they’ve brought down the whole economy. I revise my economic forecast to: “continuing gloom and doom until granite countertops go completely out of style”.
